North Shore, Lake Superior

It's the largest lake on earth by surface area. It's also the coldest, clearest and deepest of the Great Lakes. Superior is oceanic in scale and a relatively young lake geologically speaking. Despite its "youth," the north shore of Lake Superior finds some of the oldest exposed rock on earth. The lake is situated far enough north that it's often draped with exquisite, angled light.
